About Odyssey Family Guidance

A wooden boardwalk winding through a dense green forest under a cloudy sky.

Family life doesn’t always follow the path we expected. Separation, changing family circumstances and difficulties between parents can leave people trying to navigate situations they never anticipated, often while making important decisions about their children at the same time.

Odyssey Family Guidance was created to provide clear, individual support when family life becomes difficult to navigate.

Our approach is centred around you, your circumstances and what you need help with. We take time to understand your situation rather than treating every family the same way, and we focus on helping you identify realistic ways forward.

Sometimes that may mean finding a better way to communicate or putting clearer arrangements in place. Sometimes it may mean helping you prepare for a difficult conversation, understand a professional’s involvement or think through what your child might be experiencing.

And sometimes, despite everyone’s best efforts, matters cannot be resolved without formal proceedings.

When Family Court becomes part of your journey, we can provide McKenzie Friend support to help you move through the process while you remain at the centre of your own case.

Our services primarily cover the East of England, with UK support also available, where practical (mainland UK only).

We understand that family difficulties are rarely just about paperwork or arrangements.

There are relationships, emotions, children and a great deal of uncertainty behind every situation.

Our support combines family-focused knowledge, safeguarding awareness, counselling skills and experience navigating complex situations.

We don’t promise quick fixes and we don’t pretend that every situation has an easy fix.

What we can offer is a calm, informed and non-judgemental space to work through what’s happening, understand your options and decide what your next steps need to be.

Where we support an individual parent, our focus remains on helping that parent move forward while keeping the needs and wellbeing of the children at the heart of the work.
