Hearing Preparation Package

Going to Court? Give yourself time and structure to prepare properly.

Our Hearing Preparation service provides structured support for clients representing themselves (litigants in person), typically starting 4-6 weeks before the hearing.

We help you organise your evidence and case, prepare statements and bundles, understand reports and professional involvement, manage deadlines and prepare for the questions, discussions and situations you may encounter at Court.

This includes preparation for fact-finding hearings.

The aim is simple: to help you arrive at Court organised, prepared and ready to speak confidently for yourself.

Court Support Package

From £375

When the day comes, have experienced support alongside you from start to finish.

Our Court Support service provides practical McKenzie Friend support before, during and after your hearing. From the pre-hearing discussion and final preparation, to navigating the Court environment, taking notes, quietly guiding you through proceedings and helping you deal with discussions, documents and any issues as they arise, we remain alongside you throughout the day.

After the hearing, we help you make sense of what happened, review the outcome, finalise the Draft Order where required and establish your next steps, so that you leave Court knowing what happens next.

What is a McKenzie Friend?

A McKenzie Friend is someone who can support you through the Family Court process while you remain in control of your own case. They can sit alongside you at Court and provide guidance, practical assistance and emotional support before, during and after your hearing.

Family Court can feel like a lot to carry. There are forms to complete, documents to understand, deadlines to meet and decisions to make that can have a huge impact on your family. Then there is the emotional weight of having to stand in front of a Judge and speak about something that matters deeply to you.

A McKenzie Friend can help you make sense of what is happening, keep your case organised, prepare you for what lies ahead and give you someone to turn to when it all feels too much.

You remain the person telling your story and making the decisions, but you have someone in your corner to help you prepare, stay focused and find your way through what can be an incredibly difficult experience.

Why choose Odyssey Family Guidance?

Family Court can be difficult enough without worrying about how quickly legal costs are mounting. For many people, full legal representation simply isn’t financially sustainable, particularly when you don’t know how long your case will take or what the final bill might look like.

At Odyssey Family Guidance, we offer focused support around the parts of your case where you need it most, allowing you to remain in control while avoiding the cost of ongoing legal representation.

We believe you should know exactly what you are paying for. Our fees are quoted clearly and agreed upfront, with fixed-fee services priced from the outset. We don’t charge by the minute, per email or call, and there are no unexpected monthly legal bills or surprise invoices.

But affordability isn’t the only reason to choose Odyssey Family Guidance. We take time to understand the people behind the case. We recognise that there is a real family, real emotions and often a great deal at stake behind every document, hearing and decision.
